Day Trip Suggestion
Head east to Apache Junction and along Highway 88 (the Apache Trail). Goldfield is easy to spot near the start of this scenic highway.
Activities at the town include horse riding, gold panning, gold mine tours and steam train rides. Actors recreate the atmosphere of the era and are happy to interact with visitors - tip the Sheriff and arrange for a friend to be thrown in jail!
The entertainment continues into the evening when the Saloon becomes the center of attention. You can eat and drink there whilst enjoying live entertainment.
